Xtreme Cardio Craziness!
I don't know - the mad things I agree to do cos of Lacey, my trainer! So today's craziness was called an X-Treme Cardio Challenge and consisted of a 45min cardio drills class at Equinox Greenwich, followed by a 2 mile run outside along the West Side Highway to Equinox 19th Street and a 45 min spinning class!! OWWW!!!! I was actually rather nervous about it (especially the run -ugh!) but in the end it was great fun and I did it!! I'm not sure i'm going to retain full function of my legs tomorrow but I was really pleased that I managed to do it - am back on the road to full fitness!! At least this time it didnt involve getting up at 4.30am to go and jump around on local breakfast telly!!!
Another night, another rooftop!!

Summer's here and so begins the NYC obsession with drinking in elevated places!! Tues night was with Cantab, overlooking the whole of Central Park from the south end from NY Athletic Club, Friday night's choice was the bar on the top of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It only opens during the summer and only on a Friday night - had been wanting to go for ages, so myself and a friend, Lou, finally went to check it out. Usually these places are heaving but it was surprisingly uncrowded and enough space to move about and check out the amazing views of the park and city skyline. There were also some massive iron sculptures too, so you got some culchah too whilst sipping your mojito! All in all, very pleasant!

Stunning view, great company. Shame about the weather!!

This is the view from the rooftop terrace of the New York Athletic Club on 59th and 8th where we had our Cantab NYC May Week Party on Tuesday night. Absolutely gorgeous view, despite the torrential rain earlier. May Week was the very tenuous excuse to get all dressed up and drink lots of Pimms on a school night. Alas the lovely Sam was unable to join me but I wandered about with my camera taking (mostly crap) photos of people instead and made rueful comments about the poor light, so i was keeping his spirit alive!!

Overactive imagination alert!!

Hmm... note to self. Dreaming of being eaten by a snow leopard is not conducive to a peaceful nights sleep. Guess I didnt realise how much of an impression our Sunday outing to the zoo had made!!
